Faruq Fertilizers Ltd. Is a researched oriented private company manufacturing crop specific Nutrient Enriched Organic Fertilizers and Marketing under the registered brand name ‘ChookChook’. The name ‘ChookChook’ is a bengali word， means drink slowly. Plants uptake food from oraginc fertilizers slowly. Though FFL was registered as Private Limited company in the year 2000 but it actually started functioning as Faruq Fertilizers in the year 1998 when it first started its reseach on developing NEO fertilizer for the improvement of soil fertility. After doing extensive research by the company as well various government agricultural research institutes in the country such as Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council(BARC)Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute(BARI)Bangladesh Rice Research Instituite(BRRI)andother research institutes. In the year 2002 FFL has got registration for production and marketing of the following crop specific NEO fertilizers: - 1. ChookChook-102 for Betel Leaf. 2. ChookChook-150 for Root， Tuber＆amp;Bulb crops. It is expected that the following NEO fertilizers shall also be registered with the government in the current year i. E. Year 2003. 1. ChookChook-105 for Sugarcane 2. ChookChook-111 for Rice 3. ChookChook-140 for Oilseeds 4. ChookChook-160 for Vegetables 5. ChookChook-170 for Garden 6. ChookChook-171 for Banana 7.
